Most of the waves are at 20-minute boat ride away, but the nearest is the left of Hideways, at less than 5 minutes from the resort, while the farthest is Bugerworld, easy and deep reef right...here you can find all kind of breaks with waves for all levels, fun waves or Indonesian "classic barrell" waves.

∧ How to get there:
To reach Mentawai, we first recommend flying to Padang international airport (PDG) in West Sumatra, easily reachable from Jakarta airport (CGK) via indonesian domestic airlines such as Lion Air, Garuda, Citilink, Sriwijaya, or with international flights from Singapore (SIN) or Kuala Lumpur (KUL).
Arrival in Padang
We book a great hotel in Padang, where to get some sleep an from where we will pick you up the next day at 6:00 am and take you to the Fast Ferry from Padang Harbor at 7am, which stops at Sikabaulan at 11:30 and arrive right after at Siberut. Our resort private speed boat will then pick you up at 14:00 and you will be able to surf in the afternoon!
Departure
Resort Speed boat to Siberut at 11:30, then fast ferry at 3:00 pm, arrival at Padang 6:30 pm, transfer to hotel in Padang and the day after, transfer to airport.

∧ Health Care and Documents:
Most nationalities do NOT need a special visa to go to Indonesia (30 days on arrival). We always recommend to check the validity of your passport before traveling (at least 6 months validity from the scheduled return date) and to take various copies of your passport with you, if the original gets lost. There are not good hospital facilities in Mentawai, only small medical centers, we recommend traveling with an international travel insurance, in the emergency case of helicopter transfer to a bigger hospital.
