From December to August we have the biggest swells, but the cleanest wave conditions are found between December and May.

Ecuador is easily reachable with international flights landing at Guayaquil international airport (GYE), about 2.5 hours away from Montañita or you can land at Quito international airport (UIO), around 10 hours away from Montañita.

Surfcamp private airport transfer: We offer you transfer from Guayaquil airport for 100usd (2.5 hours drive) or from Quito airport for 300usd (10 hours drive). Public Transports: To reach the surfcamp there are several direct buses departing every day from Guayaquil main bus station to Montañita.

The official language is spanish. the second language is english.
∧ Local currency:
The local currency is the US Dollar (USD). Credit cards are not accepted everywhere, it is better to have cash money.
∧ Health Care and Documents:
Most nationalities do NOT need a special visa to go to Ecuador (90 days on arrival). It is recommended to take various copies of your passport with you, if the original gets lost. Public and private hospital facilities have good standard level, however, we recommend traveling with an international travel insurance.
