Trekking Roque Nublo

Canary Islands, Gran Canaria

The Roque Nublo is a rock formation in the center of Gran Canaria at 1813 m high. It means "Foggy Rock" and in the past it was a place of worship for the Aborigines.

A one hour trek through the marked and easy to follow path will take you directly to the monolith. The panorama is incredible on clear days. On the side you can see the Rana, a smaller rock that looks like a frog in some angles. From here on non-cloudy days you can see Teide, from Tenerife, the highest mountain in Spain!
