Surf in Madagascar

Madagascar, Tulear

Thanks to the difficult accessibility and the exaggerated reputation of the presence of sharks, which until now have never attacked, and mainly present on the east coast and not the west, Madagascar has remained a secret spot for a long time, with over 5000km of potentially surfabie coastline.

About 12 spots are considered world class, between right and left, some of these are called: Little Teaupoo, a right very similar to Kirra point in Australia: Antsiforony (Jelly Babies), Antalivy, Flameballs, Mangoro, Maromena, Befasy, are just some of the spot in the area!

The surf season starts from April to October, taking the same southern swell of the Indian Ocean that provides waves to the Maldives, Sri Lanka and East Africa.

Our resort faces spot with a 270 ° swell window, exposed to SW swells, with mainly offshore wind and about 700km of coral reefs.
