Just a 15-minute drive from downtown Lisbon across the Tagus River is the authentic and charming fishing village of Costa da Caparica. This beach is one of the most consistent surf spots in all of Portugal and offers perfect waves for surfers of all levels.

Costa da Caparica and the surrounding area boast of beautiful white sand beaches and unspoiled nature surrounded by breathtaking cliffs. The forest you will find here is dominated by pine and lentisk trees and is part of the Arriba Fossil Botanical Reserve.

Due to its unique location we are blessed with great waves all year round. Most of the local beaches are divided by jetties that help catch the best waves and provide shelter on the windiest days. You’ll find people surfing, skateboarding, biking, jogging and working out in the free outdoor gym located right next to our surf school. Take one of our bikes or skateboards to the waterfront and explore the incredible views!

Take bus No. 123 from Areeiro station bound for Costa Da Caparica and then it is only a short walk to our surf school located in Praia do Tarquínio (about 3 € total).
From Cais do Sodré, take the short ferry to Cacilhas and then take an Uber from there directly to our surf school (about 10€ total)
