Our Surf Resort in Fiji was designed by award-winning Architect Paul Uhlmann, a surfer from the Gold Coast, Australia. This location was designed to achieve integration of the natural landscape with the living area. There are large amounts of glass and louvers that allow cool sea breezes to ventilate the units. Ceiling fans, private bathrooms, and a large covered area are features that make the simple design a pleasure to stay within walking distance of the ocean.
The bungalows are tucked between a creek at the back of the building and coconut palms, flowers and exotic plants at the front, then the beach. A wide variety of fruit trees are scattered around the resort.
Each bungalow is divided into 2 separate accommodation areas with its own private bathroom. The room is tastefully furnished with a king-size bed (or 2 single beds), mosquito nets for that tropical touch, a coffee table and relaxing chairs. All rooms are screened. The large deck and vast expanses of glass give each unit a breathtaking view of the beach and rainforest, even from the bathroom!
The resort restaurant is an eclectic fusion of Fijian, Indian and contemporary dishes using only the freshest ingredients. We strive to be a sustainable restaurant using fruits grown throughout the property depending on the season, vegetables grown in local villages, and yellowfin tuna and Mahi Mahi caught daily in Suva Harbor.
The Restaurant and Bar is designed with the intention of maximizing the view of the coral lagoon, whether you are enjoying fresh Trevalley cooked in coconut cream or a Matanivusi Mai Tai. The ‘Dua Tali’ Bar (the ‘One Moore Bar’ – named in honor of a great friend – Marcus Moore) is a full-service bar with a wide variety of tropical recipes for your enjoyment. The bar also offers a selection of wines and beers, as well as a full range of spirits.
If you’re looking for something a little more romantic, you can have a candlelight dinner on your private terrace while the ocean waves serenade you in the sunshine.
