Weligama Bay offers perfect waves for beginners and intermediate surfers, with a beach break that allows for rapid improvement. There are also numerous spots nearby that offer more powerful waves for more experienced surfers. The best time to surf is from October to April, when the sea is more stable and the weather is ideal, however, waves can be found year-round!
