Learn to surf or improve your style on the fantastic waves of Fuerteventura!

WE DIVIDE OUR SCHOOL INTO TWO LEVELS, BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE.
LEVEL 1 : BEGINNER COURSE
DAY 1:
- theory about how a board is made
- How to hold a board to enter the water
- balance of the board in the water
- water safety ( how to fall and what not to do!)
- difference between goofy and regular
- signals given by instructors
- Theory on currents avoiding paddling against the current and how to return to the beach
- Keep a safe distance with other pupils
DAY 2:
- Standing up on the board in the foam
- theory and practice first on the beach and then in the water
- proper paddling
- paddling times and to catch a wave
DAY THREE:
- take the largest number of foams
- wave size
- direction of currents and wind
- interpreting a tide table
- correction of errors in take-off
- cut waves in back and front
FROM THE FOURTH DAY ONWARD:
- feeling safe in the water
- understand the sea
- Try surfing with a smaller board
- learn basic rules such as precedence and how to stand in the water with other surfers ( this phase requires as many days of practice as possible always followed by instructors)
LEVEL 2 : INTERMEDIATE COURSE
If you have already taken a surfing course but want to improve your style and technique, or just want to surf safely and correctly, then this is the level for you.
Instructors will evaluate your skills and you will improve by learning new tricks. For the intermediate level you will surf with custom made resin boards with the opportunity to try different types of boards depending on the waves and your starting level.
IN A 6-DAY INTERMEDIATE COURSE YOU WILL IMPROVE:
- Paddling technique
- Take off on clean waves
- Surfing in frontside and backside
- Backside railgrab
- Duckdive and eskimoroll
- Bottom turn
- Cutback
- Ability to surf shortboards, malibus and longboards
On days when conditions are not favorable (big sea, too much wind, etc…) theory lessons will be held, with instructional videos shown, and the most famous spots on the osola will be filmed, watching experienced surfers at work!
