We have designed an adventure tour to discover the beauty of this rich land all-around from the untouched nature to the fauna and flora that will surprise you.
We will explore it by trekking to Little Adam’s Peak passing through The plantations and waterfalls; or the train ride from Nanu Oya to Peradeniya and ending in the historic towns of Kandy and climbing the sacred Sigirya Mountain.
Day 1
Ella (Trekking at little Adam’s Peak)
Departure from surf camp and arrival in Ella. Planned excursion to the small Adam’s peak. The reference is to the majestic Adam’s peak, which is located southwest of Ella. Little Adam’s peak is a hill, nestled in the verdant local vegetation and surrounded by some tea plantations. The walk one takes to climb to the top and enjoy the view is not strenuous at all, it is pleasant and sweeps to new vistas, very different from those of the inland and coastal areas.
Day 2
Ella/Nuwara Eliya(AM – Halpewatte Tea Factory by Tuk Tuk & Ravana Falls)
Breakfast and departure for Nuwara Eliya. En route visit the Halpewatte tea plantation and its factory and tuk tuk ride. Continue to Nuwara Eliya and visit the Ravana waterfalls. NUWARA ELIYA is the heart of Sri Lanka, the hilly part of the island. It is the home of the famous Ceylon Tea, and the undulating mountains are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and roaring waterfalls. The salubrious climate, misty valleys and distinctly British character make Nuwara Eliya a must on any Sri Lankan travel itinerary.

TEMPLE of the Sacred Tooth – When King Wimaladharmasuriya I (1592-1604 AD) became king of Kandy, he searched for the relic of the Buddha’s tooth and found that it was secretly kept in Delgomuwa, a Buddhist Temple located in Kuruwita, for more than 44 years, hidden in a grindstone. The king went there in person and brought the Holy Tooth relic to Kandy in a procession accompanied by the king. The first temple of the tooth relic was built by Wimaladharmasooriya I next to the Royal Palace. Following a fire that burned this first building, King Wimaladharma Sooriya II (1687-1707) had a 3-story building erected to house the Sacred Tooth Relic. It was burned again and of a new 2-story building was built by King Narendra Singhe (1707-1739 AD) and what we see today may be the building he built. He also painted 32 Jataka stories on the outer walls of the building. In addition to the 3 daily “pujas,” 4 annual festivals are held at the Temple of the Tooth Relic

While this is the name the early British settlers gave the area, the Sinhalese call the area Dumbara Kanduvetiya giving more of a visual sense to the place, highlighting the rich amount of mist and haze that covers the peaks.
The entire area is characterized by a thick cloud layer. In addition to its aesthetic value, the area also holds a strong scientific interest. It is a climatic microcosm that is a collection of various microcosms found in different parts of the island. At higher altitudes there is a series of forests that are home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, even unique in the world. Although the area makes up about 0.03% of the total area of the island , this is home to a significantly high percentage of biodiversity compared to the rest of the country.
