How to Get There:

To reach the Mentawai, we first recommend flying to Jakarta, which is easily accessible from several Italian cities such as Milan and Rome. In approx 16 h of flight time, you will land in Jakarta (CGK), the capital of Indonesia. From here, you need to reach Padang, there are several domestic flights from Jakarta to Padang, with Lion Air, Garuda, Citilink, Sriwijaya. Once you arrive at the airport in Padang, we recommend that you stay overnight at a hotel in town (we can book you a hotel, at an extra cost). The next morning, when you wake up at the hotel, our staff will guide you to take a fast boat, which will take you to the port of Tua Pejat on the island of Sipora in 3 hours. At the port, our private boat will be waiting for you and will finally take you to the resort.

IMPORTANTLY: Arrival and departure from the resort must coincide with the fast ship that leaves Padang every Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 7 a.m. and arrives at Mentawai 3 hours later, return from Mentawai is the same days at 3 p.m. with arrival in Padang at 6 p.m., fast ship price 60 USD per person each way. Since the fast ship leaves at 7 a.m., clients normally have to arrive in Padang the day before.

SPECIAL: We also offer a private speed boat transfer service from Padang Port, directly to our Kingfisher Bay resort. The price is 2000USD each way (up to 10 people).

From the airport to the port of Padang or Hotel:

Extra night in hotel in Padang: We can book you one night in a hotel in Padang, all airport/hotel/port transfers, will be included in the price.

Cab: It is the fastest and easiest way to get around Padang. When you arrive at the airport in Padang, there will be numerous taxis waiting for you. Surfboards are not a problem for Indonesian cab drivers.

From the port of Tua Pejat to the Kingfisher Bay resort:

Private resort speed boat: We offer you a transfer service from the port of Tua Pejat in the north of the island of Sipora to our resort. The A/R price for 1 person is 500 Euro, for 2-3 persons is 400 Euro per person, for 4 or more persons is 350Euro per person.

Health Care and Documents:

Italian citizens do not need a special visa to travel to Indonesia. You pay a 25 euro fee when entering the country and a 15 euro fee when leaving the country. It is recommended that you make several copies of your passport in case the original is lost. There are no good hospital facilities in Mentawai, only small medical centers, we recommend traveling with international travel insurance, in the remote case of transferring to the hospital by helicopter.
